This final phase of the internship also gave me a front-row seat to the realistic, complex challenges that come with such an ambitious mission. STUF operates differently from local Taiwanese NGOs; it is fundamentally a US-based organization. This unique structure means the team constantly navigates the frictions of shifting data, synchronizing workflows across continents, and managing the sheer logistical hurdles of cross-border coordination. I witnessed firsthand how the headquarters and the Taiwan branch strive to maintain the same pace and efficiency despite being in entirely different time zones.
