My internship at Unconditional Basic Income Taiwan (UBI Taiwan) for the last two months have provided me with a unique and meaningful experience. Primarily, I find ways to connect to people, organizations, and institutions to raise awareness or help announce the information, and then invite them to participate in our events. The team and I actually worked with the students from Ascent Academy to brainstorm strategies and improve on the results of the last year’s event. I was asked to specifically target a certain region and I thought of researching UBI’s potential in Indonesia as I believe this topic is not covered that much in my country. One unexpected task that came up during my internship was to contribute in a website design for Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN). Furthermore, we successfully conducted an information session for UBI’s annual debate tournament.I really appreciate the opportunity. To be able to do this, collaborate internationally, and listen to lectures and insights from major advocates on UBI, really opened my eyes to numerous new things and broadened my horizons.
