During my internship at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), I gained practical experience in public diplomacy, cultural exchange, and international event coordination. One of the most rewarding experiences was contributing to the Yushan Forum, where I assisted with guest reception, logistics, and session coordination while also hearing President Lai’s opening speech. I later worked on the bilingual forum report, drafting and translating summaries that highlighted international partnerships and key discussions. Beyond these events, I managed TAEF’s English newsletter, which required researching and summarizing Indo-Pacific news for distribution to partners. Additionally, I prepared for the SEASAT Youth Camp by helping filter applications, set criteria, and coordinate logistics for participants. Through these experiences, I not only improved my research, writing, and organizational skills but also deepened my understanding of Taiwan’s regional role. This internship strengthened my confidence and confirmed my passion for working in international cooperation.
