With the rapid growth of social media, businesses and organizations increasingly rely on high-quality social media photos to build their brand and expand marketing channels. That's why students not only gain hands-on experience and apply their knowledge during internships, but are also required to document events through photography and assist with social media management. To enhance the internship experience, NTUOIA has specially designed a mobile photography and image optimization course for iNGO Academy and Overseas Internship Program interns.
This course features Frank Chen, an internationally acclaimed photographer who has won the Fujifilm International Photography Competition and collaborated with Canon and Samsung Taiwan. Frank will demystify mobile photography and teach students how to capture eye-catching photos using just their smartphones.
Frank introduces key composition techniques such as the Rule of Thirds, Grid Lines, and Negative Space, helping students utilize grid overlays to improve photo composition, whether photographing spaces, portraits, or objects. Additionally, he shares various user-friendly photo editing apps with stylish filters to enhance images effortlessly. Moreover, Frank imparts essential techniques for event photography, teaching students how to quickly grasp event direction and leverage venue, content display, and interactions to effectively capture the essence of an event.
The hands-on session was met with enthusiastic participation. Under Frank’s guidance, students practiced the newly learned techniques on-site and had the opportunity to share their previous photos for feedback. By applying today's lessons, they refined their photography skills, making this an incredibly valuable and rewarding course!
