Ms. Jessie Chan, former L’Oréal APAC Brand Director and Vice President of New Generation College, along with Mr. Jonathan Drubay, Co-Vice President of La French Tech Taiwan, and Mr. Johnny Wu, Director of Global Relations at OIA, served as judges for the demo day. Through on-site feedback from the judges, students were encouraged to refine their presentation skills and reflection techniques. Partner organizations also participated, providing encouragement for students through handwritten cards.
One notable participant was Hana, a sophomore majoring in Economics. Hana interned last summer at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation through the NTU International Mentorship Program, which ignited her interest in iNGOs. This year, she joined the iNGO Academy and interned at the Taiwan Alliance in International Development, applying her expertise in statistics and data analysis to effectively compile extensive data and event information. These enriching NGO experiences have significantly bolstered Hana's hands-on skills. This summer, she will join Jardine Restaurant Group as a group sustainability intern through the Mentorship Program.
As the 2024 iNGO Academy concluded, students embarked on organization visits in Taichung and Changhua, focusing on local revitalization. Next year’s iNGO Academy promises increased participation from students and organizations alike, aiming to foster altruism and enhance Taiwan's global impact!
