【Graduation Trip I】local revitalization and skills to solve social issues

With the theme of "local revitalization," the iNGO Academy students visited government agencies, NGOs, and local associations to explore strategies for promoting local revitalization from various perspectives, including humanities, marine ecology, and social issues. Students learned how different institutions integrate local cultural contexts and natural environments, combining existing features and resources to create unique local brands and achieve sustainable development in urban and rural areas.

➤Wind Theatre in Dadaocheng

Students visited the Against Wind Theatre in Dadaocheng, where Director Cheng, Wei-Sheng guided them through the "Against Wind House" and explained the theater's vision and mission. The theatre group uses drama as a starting point to extend into various professional fields, equipping troubled teems with the skills to reintegrate into society. Through activities like "body sculpture" and "emotion expressions," students learned to observe their surroundings and improve their drama expression techniques.

➤ Taichung Social Innovation Unit

Outside of Taipei, students visited the Taichung Social Innovation Unit. Through introductions by the base and resident organizations, students gained insights into the Taichung City Government's strategies for integrating talent and resources to actively support the development of social enterprises, youth entrepreneurship, and community building. By engaging and learning from these organizations, students understood the process of implementing local revitalization and developed a thought framework for local revitalization issues.

Through sharing and visiting various organizations, students learned about different social issues, gained diverse perspectives on addressing these problems, and discovered innovative solutions. They also understood the challenges of sustainable operation faced by these organizations and the strategies they employ to maximize their impact.
