【News Reshare】Taiwan Wins for the First Time! Judicial Reform Foundation wins the "World Justice Challenge" Award

The World Justice Challenge (WJC) is an international competition organized by the World Justice Project. This year's theme, "The Rule of Law: Foundation of Democracy," focuses on strategies to strengthen the rule of law, resist authoritarianism, and rebuild trust in democratic governance. A total of 424 civil organizations from 109 countries participated in the competition.

At 1:30 AM (GMT+8), during the ABA Annual Meeting, the World Justice Challenge held its final round in Chicago, featuring 30 finalists. In the end, one winner was selected for each of the five major themes.

Lawyer Huang Kuan-Hsin, Manager of International Affairs and Digital Human Rights Projects, represented the Judicial Reform Foundation (民間司改會) and successfully won the grand prize! This achievement highlights the influence of Taiwan's civil society and showcases the sustainability of Taiwan's oldest judicial reform organization. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the 318 Movement. Centering on the 318 Volunteer Lawyers Platform, it demonstrates Taiwan's civil society's efforts to uphold the rule of law.
