【Children's Rights Team】

Due to differences in environment, politics, people's customs, etc., the practice of children's rights must also be adapted to local conditions. People and the Environment are an inseparable whole, and everyone's development is affected by their mutual influence. Through diversified Education and Advocacy work, Good Neighbors Taiwan promotes changes, transforms children themselves, families, schools, communities, and even the entire society and culture’s understanding and attitude towards children, and makes changes sustainable to jointly build Child-Friendly City

Internship Job Description

Assist in the implementation of children's rights education plans, develop contacts with schools, enter schools to implement curriculum and publicity, and organize after-school tracks.
Assist in the implementation of the global citizenship education plan and assist in the translation and typesetting of teaching materials.
World Citizenship Education Program: A global citizenship education program jointly participated by the International Good Neighbors Partnership, aiming to enable students to understand and practice the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the course, children are able to understand the concepts of coexistence and empathy in the global village, and communicate online with international students, allowing them to express and exchange their views on global issues and action plans in life.
Children's Rights Education Project: Through the teaching materials of Good Neighbors, "The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child" will be promoted and educated in elementary schools, aiming to enhance children's rights awareness and mutual respect.
Assist in organizing GN's development and humanitarian project progress and producing relevant posts on online platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and GN's official website, to increase public awareness and visibility.
Ad-hoc support on document translation (English and Chinese)

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

Basic knowledge of child rights and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Fluency in Chinese and English (interpretation is required during the course).
Communication, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.
Passion for teaching; empathetic and reflective.
