Taiwan Digital Diplomacy Association (TDDA) is an innovative and vibrant NGO with members based in Taiwan, the US, Vietnam, and other locations worldwide. Through the strategic application of digital diplomacy, TDDA aims to promote global partnerships by creating digital content and hosting real-life events as part of the innovation in public diplomacy.

Recognizing that participation carries more weight than mere contributions, over the past five years, TDDA has traveled and launched projects in collaboration with 25+ countries. Our work has also been featured in 300+ international media outlets, including Vietnam, Kosovo, Honduras, and the United States, with participation from 40+ embassies and diplomatic institutes based in Taiwan, as well as non-diplomatic associations.

【Project Management Team】

The Taiwan Digital Diplomacy Association (TDDA) Project Management Team is responsible for managing TDDA's external communications and overseeing project management initiatives. Joining our project management team provides you with the opportunity to engage in the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to project execution and closure. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development of project plans, monitoring project execution progress, maintaining communication with key stakeholders, coordinating community outreach efforts, and compiling comprehensive project outcome reports.

Internship Job Description

As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research efforts for our newsletter and enhancing our social media presence. During the internship, you will gain first-hand experience in interacting with international audiences and managing our official Twitter (12K followers), LinkedIn (700+ followers), and Facebook group with engaging social media content. You will also learn how to write a proper newsletter and the ability to summarize news and reports in a format presented to our audiences. During the internship program, interns will also participate in the external events of the association and learn to communicate with our external partners from the public sector, NGOs, academic institutions, and private sectors. If you are passionate about staying up-to-date with international affairs trends, conducting in-depth research, and creating engaging social media content, you are exactly what we are looking for!

【Internship Project Objectives】

Develop Practical Skills in Project Implementation:
Contribute to the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, with a focus on enhancing project outcomes and stakeholder communication.
Enhance Research and Analytical Capabilities:
Conduct research on international affairs trends and create concise, insightful summaries for newsletters and reports tailored to diverse audiences.
Improve Social Media Management and Strategy:
Oversee and grow TDDA's presence on social media platforms (Twitter and LinkedIn) by crafting engaging, high-quality content and analyzing audience engagement metrics.
Foster Collaboration Across Sectors:
Engage with public sector representatives, NGOs, academic institutions, and private organizations through external events, gaining hands-on experience in cross-sectoral and intercultural collaboration.
Strengthen Understanding of Digital Diplomacy:
Deepen knowledge of how digital tools and platforms shape diplomacy, influence international communication, and contribute to fostering global partnerships.

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

Research and data analysis skills.
Excellent editing and content drafting abilities.
Workable level of English, both written and spoken.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
