The Judicial Reform Foundation (JRF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1995 by a group of human rights lawyers in Taiwan. The JRF is committed to the protection of human rights and the rule of law by reforming the judicial system in Taiwan. Now we have two offices in Taipei and Taichung. Through casework, campaign and advocacy, rights education, and legal research, it has been pushing for enhanced transparency and justice in the criminal procedure. It is in this context that the JRF also monitors the performance of the court and the prosecutors in Taiwan invoking the international standard and principles.
【Complaint Center】
Judicial Reform Foundation (JRF) has long advocated for judicial reform through individual case complaints, combined with legislative research (including both domestic Taiwanese and international comparative law experiences). By leveraging citizen power from the ground up, JRF aims to oversee the judiciary. Interns will be involved in a wide range of tasks, from assisting the complaint center to developing advocacy materials based on case studies. In the past, many interns have created their own teaching materials and promotional materials to engage with the public at markets and other events. Some interns have even optimized paper-based promotional materials for use at international conferences.
