One-Forty

One-Forty is a non-profit organization that strives to provide education for Southeast Asian migrant workers. Since 2015, we at One-Forty have been focusing our attention on empowering Southeast Asian migrant workers, by helping them acquire practical knowledge and skills throughout their foreign journeys in Taiwan. Apart from helping them adapt to life away from home, we want to extend our influence to their lives back home, to give them the means of becoming financially independent. We wish to help them break out of the vicious circle of poverty, to open the door to better futures for themselves, their families, their home countries, and even the generations that follow. At One-Forty, we organize regular cultural exchanges, to offer consistent opportunities to the Taiwanese public and migrant workers to interact, communicate, and empathize with each other, and to bring them to recognize the stories and values of one another. Eventually, we hope to make Taiwan a more diverse, inclusive, and truly welcoming society.
