We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dame Jane Goodall DBE, the pioneering primatologist, conservationist, and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute. Through her ground breaking research with chimpanzees and her lifelong advocacy for the environment, she inspired generations to care for our planet.
NTU has been privileged to collaborate with the Jane Goodall Institute through both the International Mentorship Program (IMP) and the iNGO Academy, giving students opportunities to engage with her vision of ethical leadership and sustainability. Her lifelong dedication to environmental protection and education leaves an enduring legacy for young people worldwide.
She consistently reminded us that local action can bring about global transformation, a principle that will continue to inspire international education and cooperation. We honour her memory and lasting legacy, and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, our friends and colleagues at the Jane Goodall Institute, and to all whose lives were touched by her work.
