Located in Sanxia, New Taipei City,Grass Book House is a community-based learning center that supports children and youth from high-risk and disadvantaged families. Since its founding over a decade ago, the House has provided not only a safe place after school but also warm meals, homework tutoring, emotional support, and life education.
Unlike institutional programs that often serve only those who meet certain qualifications, Grass Book House focuses on children who fall through the cracks of the system— those living in unstable family environments or facing behavioral and emotional challenges.Through after-school care, shared dinners, and vocational training programs such as baking, woodcraft, metalwork, and art, children learn by doing and gradually build self-confidence and practical skills. Over time, these experiences help them envision a different future and develop the strength to pursue it.
Grass Book House also connects families, schools, and local businesses to forma sustainable community support network, ensuring that every bit of love and resource eventually flows back to the children, allowing them to see light evenin their darkest moments.
