Taiwan Africa International Service Association (TAISA) is a non-profit organization established in 2008 by volunteers from National Tsing Hua University and Fu Jen Catholic University. Officially registered in Taiwan, TAISA focuses on implementing meaningful service projects in Africa, addressing the needs of schools, medical institutions, and communities through careful evaluation and planning.
TAISA values active collaboration with local partners, emphasizing mutual trust and shared goals. Volunteers work closely with individuals and organizations to co-create, transfer, and localize skills and knowledge, ensuring a sustainable impact deeply rooted in the communities they serve. This people-centric approach has fostered lasting friendships and cooperation between Taiwan and Africa.
Through these initiatives, TAISA facilitates cultural exchanges that allow Taiwanese volunteers to gain a deeper understanding of Africa’s diverse cultures and traditions. In turn, these efforts promote greater awareness of Africa within Taiwanese society, advancing TAISA’s mission of building bridges and cultivating mutual growth across borders.

【East Africa Project Team】
TAISA's East Africa project team has developed a framework to empower education institutions in developing countries to provide digital education. In the past four years, this framework has successfully transformed 29 learning institutions in 3 African countries to provide sustainable digital learning opportunities to over 15,000 learners.
Inspired by this success, and the overwhelming positive feedback we got from the like-minded NGOs from ICT4D forum in Ghana, we are currently focusing on developing a partnership network to onboard partner organizations to adopt TAISA's digital education framework and benefit more learners in different countries and territories
The project team is currently working from two locations including Taiwan and Kenya, our Africa hub, and having team members from both Taiwan and Kenya.
