Taiwan Unconditional Basic Income Association (UBI Taiwan)

Taiwan Unconditional Basic Income Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Universal Basic Income (UBI). Its goal is to advance the implementation of UBI in Taiwan through research, advocacy, and public discussion, while enhancing public understanding and support for this policy. With the rise of automation and artificial intelligence, the disappearance of traditional jobs has become a reality, leaving many people facing economic instability and unemployment. In response to these challenges, UBI is seen as an effective social safety net that provides basic income to everyone, reduces wealth inequality, and promotes overall social well-being. To promote this concept, the association organizes various activities, such as lectures, forums, and social experiments, to help the public better understand UBI theory and practice. The association also collaborates with the government, academic institutions, and social movements to research UBI policy models, offering recommendations to policymakers and advocating for the legislation and implementation of UBI. The association’s ultimate goal is to gradually implementUBI in Taiwan and expand this idea globally, providing a fairer and more sustainable social safety net for the future.
