During my internship at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), I worked on projects related to youth engagement, international cooperation, and public diplomacy, gaining hands-on insight into how a think tank operates. A key responsibility was supporting the 8th Yushan Forum, one of Taiwan’s major international conferences. I assisted with preparation and on-site logistics, including guest reception, document distribution, translation, and session coordination. Beyond the forum, I drafted and translated the bilingual summary report, improving my ability to present policy topics clearly under time pressure. I also helped prepare recruitment content for the 2025 SEASAT Youth Camp and produced daily e-newsletters by selecting and summarizing key articles from local and international media on Indo-Pacific affairs.This internship helped me reflect on my future career direction. I realized that I enjoy working in areas where communication, regional cooperation, and public engagement intersect. Being part of TAEF gave me a glimpse into the important role that non-governmental organizations play in connecting people, building networks, and promoting mutual understanding across borders. I am grateful for this opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, and I hope to continue contributing to similar missions in the future.
