What I realized is that initiative is less about generating ideas and more about developing enough situational awareness to understand what is actually needed. That is a humbler version of proactivity than the one I described in my midterm, but I think it is the more honest one and still very useful to take forward. TDDA turned out to be an ideal place to learn about both the iNGO sector and international relations in practice, as things that are deeply entangled. TDDA’s work, touching upon civic advocacy, diplomacy, Taiwan's geopolitical position, and digital resilience, made everything I did feel more grounded and more consequential than I expected an internship to feel.
