It’s been two months since I’ve worked in MSF as the youth engagement intern, which was more interesting and challenging than I thought. My main project during this internship is to design and implement MSF's first summer camp in Taiwan, which means that I have to do it from scratch. I have designed two original student workshop for the summer camp. Apart from the workshop, I set the camp promotion agenda and content on the social media, communicate with diverse stakeholders and work on the logistics for the events. As for now, the summer camp agenda was approved by my supervisor and is going to be put into practice in September. During this internship, I came to realize the importance of the communication and advocacy for a humanitarian organization. Overall, the internship has been a great experience for me so far.During this internship, I came to realize the importance of the communication and advocacy for a humanitarian organization. People always think humanitarian projects is only about sending doctors and food into the conflict zone. However, it is more than that. These humanitarian projects require funding, and the funding is based on the donation of the public… I really appreciate MSF and NTU giving this internship opportunity to me, which gives me the chance to see if pursuing iNGO career is possible for me.
