During my internship at the Child Welfare League Foundation (CWLF), I completed a variety of tasks, including compiling the 2024 annual report, organizing survey data, writing social media copy, observing lessons, creating presentations, and assisting with events such as the Children’s Day celebration. These experiences strengthened my skills in data analysis, information organization, and communication while giving me the chance to contribute new ideas to an established nonprofit framework. Over three months, I grew from feeling uncertain to confidently running statistical analyses and supporting diverse projects. I appreciated working alongside my partner Jessie, whose efficiency complemented my focus on creative planning. At times, repetitive tasks brought challenges, but supportive colleagues and supervisors helped me regain motivation. This first internship deepened my understanding of nonprofit operations—their creativity, collaboration, and flexibility, but also the limits of funding and manpower. I am grateful for the professional growth, supportive colleagues, and the chance to explore my future direction through this meaningful experience.
