During my internship at the Child Welfare League Foundation (CWLF), I gained valuable experience across sustainability education, event coordination, and data analysis. Our main project was creating materials that showcase CWLF’s contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on social inclusion. We reviewed CWLF’s resourcesits website, magazines, podcasts, and events, further presented its work in a way that highlights its impact, with the final product to be submitted to the 2025 Taiwan and Asia-Pacific Sustainability Awards. Through this, I realized CWLF is more than a child- and family-focused NGO; it is actively working to make the world a better place for all. Beyond this project, I participated in direct services such as parent-child classes and mindfulness workshops, documenting activities and observing how children became more independent while parents relaxed through crafts. I also helped organize and analyze data from education interventions, surveys, and workshops. Although initially challenging, restructuring fragmented datasets showed me how NGOs increasingly use data to strengthen program effectiveness. This internship deepened my understanding of how innovation, message translation, and collaboration drive social impact, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a forward-thinking environment.
